Hello, I’m Michael Chissick and I paint for fun*. Over the years I’ve had some great teachers like Teresa Witz, Vasiliki Gkosti, and currently Anthony Swann. Apart from that I’m self taught .

The Artists that have influenced me include Aimee Eriksen, Bob Burridge, GL Hunter, Patrick Caulfield, Van Gough, Cezanne, Michael Craig Martin, William Kentridge and many others. Some of my pictures have been copied from my Art Heroes, some are my own invention.

Where I have copied I say so by using the protocol ‘after’.

I enjoy painting with Acrylics , because its easy to correct or change things . Also I love creating pieces in charcoal and pastels.

I’ve set up this website to be able to sell my pictures to you, for you to enjoy on your wall.

Each piece is priced at the value that I place on them , which is based on the time I’ve spent creating them plus materials and so on.

Charitable Donations

When you buy a piece, 10% of the selling price will go to RED CROSS EMERGENCY GAZA APPEAL and /or UNICEF EMERGENCY APPEAL FOR UKRAINE CRISIS or both. If that’s not your cup of tea then you can nominate your own charity , as long as it is is UK based, non- political and nothing that promotes violence or hate, then we will donate 10% of the selling price to that charity.

For example: Samaritans, Cancer Research, perhaps your local hospice and so on. We will provide proof that payment has been made.
